I bought a I-50 last year from Cabelas and love it. It is my 3rd moultrie and by far the best performing takes great pics, fast on the trigger, crazy battery life. DOn't know why Simon 08 siad to stay away. Cabelas has never done me wrong on anything I've bought so I'm not sure what the issue is. I recommend them highly

Like i said, i may be thinking of a different camera. But if it is this model pictured below, then stay away. Grainy pictures, slow trigger time. My buddies flash was not in sync (it would take a picture at night before or after the flash...so all you see is black) so he called Moultrie and they straight up told him that they could not fix it because they don't have a fix for it. He called them back a few months later and they said they couldn't work on it because it was out of warranty. HE OFFERED TO PAY THEM TO FIX IT...and they refused because it was against their policy. Moultrie has possibly the worst customer service in the business.

I have been having problems with the sister camera to this unit (Moultrie 4.0 Cabelas edition, came out first), and they are refusing to email me back.

Midway USA had the D40 on sale for $69. Is it the same camera?

I personally like the I40.

The D40 is different. The I/M40 would be a better choice as it uses the new Moultrie system and not the old one like this above pictured camera and my old camera did.

My M60 was junk. I sent it back for the flash blowing up the deer completely white.
They sent me a new I40 back and the IR was horrible.
I sold it and bought a ScoutGuard 550.
Buying a Cudde Capture Flash in a couple months.

Wow, I love my I-40's. Daytime pictures are awesome! Nighttime is nighttime. You're at the mercy of the IR.
