I think the basic Cuddeback Capture is the way to go. Ittakes pretty good night pics too.

Mine is a piece of Junk too...supposibly they fixed the problem with them and they are better now?I'm sending mine back to the BassProShop and getting a different one or going to get a Moultrie I-40 IR camera instead. It also states on the Cuddeback Site to update your camera if it shows a code lower than 15-15,I went on there and down-loaded the update on a SD card and loaded it into my camera...it still showed a code of 12-12 and a code of SD-4 stating it was updated. It still took very poor IR night pictures that were barely visable and poor quality of IR flash, the batteries would constantly show "LOW" or it would only take a few pictures when I first set the camera up,then NO pictures after that and it acted like the batteries wouldn't connect with the _ and + poles?

my bro in laws got one and I really dont want to check his cause im sure its gonna have issues also.. I feel bad cause I have 3 captures and they were great, so he bought the IR thining it was better.

all of my captures get a A rating from me... if I get a IR, im probably going to the scoutguard model

cuddeback said they have a beter IR coming out, so they know about the issues with these capture IR's

Yah I agree if a person buys the capture they would be better off getting the flash model, I have seen the crap IR pics.
