Default Moultrie D40 problem - any suggestions?

I have a d40 that has been one of my favorite cameras until recently. When i set it up it will take pictures until sometime during the first night then it just shuts off. I've been getting 30 -100 pics or so until it turns off. Any idea why this happens and how to fix it?? I've had new batteries and different sd cards but it still happens...

Call Moultrie. I had one replaced recently because it would not stay on. Fortunatly I found it before it was out in the woods. They replaced it with a new one and it only took them a week toget it back to me.

I had the same problem, i figured it was because it was so cold out that it just shut its self down.

Did you mix new batteries in with old batteries?
It could be that or the wheather is too cold.

I love my moultrie D40. Its the cheapest digital camera that is a decent one.
I've gotten over 1000 pictures this past season and 700 or so of them acually had animals in them.
Its good and its the bad that the moultrie takes pictures of any blowing leaf or branch. That means it has good triggering speed.
Next time you set it up clear any tree branches, loose leaves, or brush that might set it off.
