Default Backyard Buck - Stealth I-590.

After seeing some really good pictures posted on some of the forums from the Stealth I-590's I figured I would pick one up and try it out. I got it for $99.99 locally at Academy Sports so if it turned out to be a complete bust I figured I could just return it.

I stuck it out about 400 yards from the house in a little patch of wheat and oats I planted late this summer. I've been seeing deer out there pretty regularly. I had it out 3 nights and got several pictures of a rabbit, the back end of a coyote and this nice mature buck.

Here's the full frame picture:

Here's a cropped closeup:

I figure he's at least 3.5, but he might be 4.5, he has quite the body builder look to his front end. The pre-rut is for sure starting though as both my wife and I have seen bucks following does around during the day.

Too bad there isn't a hunting season in the county where I live. They advertise a 90 foot range on their flash and it probably lives up to that if aimed properly. I had the camera mounted pretty close to the ground and lost a lot of the flash to the ground but it still got out there a ways. He's probably 50' from the camera in that picture.

The camera doesn't have the quickest trigger but I was actually impressed that it picked me up really good both times I went to pull the card. The sensor seems pretty wide. Battery life is supposed to be good as well although my 4 days of ownership hasn't shown much on that yet. I'm happy with it so far, my plans are using it as a feeder camera so a super fast trigger isn't a requirement.

Nothing too exciting, I'm taking it down to my hunting property today though so maybe I'll have some good pictures on it next time.
I posted a few new pictures from my last visit to the land as well.

I don't think this little piggie has missed many meals in his lifetime!

If you want to look around at my photo gallery of trail camera pics here's the link - http://padens.com/v-web/gallery/album04?page=9 The newest pictures start on page 9.

Thanks for looking. Nathan

The quality doesnt seem so bad. Looks like you need to aim it up a little. Hope to see spme more from you!

There's a lot of sausage and bacon in the hog. Nice pics with the new camera. I'd be interested in the battery life. For the price,it seems to be an exceptional camera.
