Stealth Cam I230IR Infrared Problems

I have the Stealth Cam I230IR Infrared Digital Scouting Camera. I can not get it to take night pictures and I have a 1G card that it will not work in my Stealth card reader, but works in my computer. I can not format it in the Stealth card reader for some reason. Any ideas. Thanks

What kind of card is it?
Not all brand of SD cards are compatible with the camera.
All I use is Sandisk cards and have yet to have problems with them.
