Is this normal for trial cameras?

My dad and I just started using trial cameras for the first time this year. We get pictures of deer, but we get alot of pictures of the tress and stuff blowing in the wind. Is there any way to limit that?

Very common. It has to be set up on something solid and all limbs, grass or whatever needs to be avoided. The sun will set it off also if you have it pointed towards the E or W horizons.

Unfortunately, not much can be done. This will happen if it is setup over an open area where the wind will cause movement of limbs, trees, weeds, grasses, etc. Any motion will trigger the camera.

One thing that might limit the number of pics of this nature would be to increase the time between triggered events.

I set my Moultrie digital camera on a tree with over-hanging branches because there is a Buck Scrape there and I wanted to get pic's of the size of the Buck making the scrapes,now it takes a few pictures when the wind blows pretty good,can't trim the limbs because the Deer use the licking branch on the tree so I'll have to live with it for a while!

I did trim off all the standing weeds and a few small saplings that were in the way and I don't have as many useless pic's on the camera!
The other day I got 3 sets of pictures of Doe's walking by and checking out the scrapes!
