Default Moultrie D-40 question a.k.a. what would you do?

OK I will be driving a very long way 450+ miles to set up one of my cameras on some property of mine at a feeder. I have a Moultirie D-40 with a 2gig card and possibly the solar panel to trickle charge it since it will be early November the next time I'm out there.

should i do the 3 shot burst every 5 minutes or 3 minutes or what, I obviously want as many pics of different deer but i also dont want to run my batteries down and fill my card with a million pics of the same deer feeding or turkeys runnin about.

how would you set it?

Since its on a feeder, I would use more time in between. 5 Minutes sounds good if its a busy site. 3 minutes if less. Also wouldnt want critters to fill up the card.

I would do a 2 shot burst instead of 3 shot as well and gowith the 5 minute delay. That's what I have my cameras over my feeders setup as and I check them once a month or so. When I had it on 3 shot burst I ended up with a full card a couple times.

thank you for the info, I did end up getting the moultrie 12v solar panel for it so I'm not so worried about the battery life anymore
