I have older style deercam camera that uses film instead of a memory card, i was wondering if i could rig up a digital camera to work with the deercam internals, sensor ect?

It is possible, depending on what type of unit you have. If you are not tech-savvy enough to do it yourself, try a local camera shop. If they can't do it, I am sure they will know a place that can. I had the same situation a few years back and the local camera shop hooked me up with someone who could do it. Hope this helps.

im sure i can tackle the job myself just wondering if anyone would recommend a specific camera to work? as i am a electrical/system installer i should be able to figure something out to wire it up
