Default Whats this cub weight?

We have a 100 pound min. limit in Virginia. Just thought I would get some idea of what a bears weights at this age.

Default RE: Whats this cub weight?

15lbs maybe. Look at pics of a coon. I can't believe momma isn't on the camera too. I did get a pic like that last year of a cub and got mom on camera a couple weeks later.

That ain't near legal. WV has the same size limits. A legal bear looks like a St. Bernard dog. Same size same height, etc. Even have about the same coat. The main thing is just be sure it isn't still with mom. If it looks small let it go for about 10min or so to see if mom is behind.

One thing about it, gutted wt. is what it is. Lots of 90 pounders fall out of the trees in the winter gun season. But it's hard to weigh them alive, they don't take too kindly to that !!! and the DNR wants them killed.
