Default Possible Moultrie Problem

Camera: Moultrie I40

so far i have loved this camera. yesterday i checked my camera and it said i only had 1 picture (itwas also set to take 3 pic's everytime it's triggered) and there was lots of fresh deer sign near the camera.. for the last 2 months i have been averaging between 25-50 different deer pictures every 2 weeks. the battery life indicator said the battery was at 80% but when it took a pic (testing it with my hand)it jumped down to 30%. when i went to view the 1 pic, my desk top said it was unviewable or something to that nature. while i was in the field i went ahead and put fresh batteries in it and made sure it read 99% battery life. i also performed the internal test and all systems checked o.k. i went ahead and left it out there with another camera further down the same trail to see if it is functioning properly when i go back out in 2 weeks.

anyone else run into this?

How long have you had it? If its been less than a year I would send it back after giving their tech support people a call. They replaced my M60 after it had flash problems.

i've had it about 5-6 months. i'd hate to send it back right now, this is the time of year i need it. i'm hoping i just had a bad battery or so.

When I sent mine back it took about 4-5 days for me to have it back from the day I shipped it. So you might want to act fast before you get into the really good picture times.

Buck's right, they'll be quick to get it back to you. The infrared sensor went bad in my gamespy a couple years back and they sent me a brand new camera within a week. You can afford to miss a week of pictures to fix that camera, it's worth it.

Moultrie is usually pretty quick getting a camera back to you.
