Default How to attach security box to tree?

I bought a new trail cam and a steel security box for it. I want to secure it to a tree with a thick metal chain, but the slits in the back on the box will only fit the strap. Do you guys have any ideas of what I could do ?

i put my security box on the tree using a strap. however, the security box i bought had a hole drilled near the top of the box just big enough to run a Python Cable through it. this way you can run the cable through the box and around the tree. my box also has another spot on the bottom for a padlock.

if you own the land, I would drill 2 holes in the back of the box and add 2 lag bolts. that way if they do steal it, the camera should be about broke by the time they wedge it off the tree.

yep, hefty lag bolts with hefty chain locked with padlock should be pretty good
