Default Thoughts on DH Super Diablo

Have a chance to buy one..just what I need to get started again. Its 50# @28". I always liked the looks of this bow, have no idea why Martin quit making it. Its in great shape, little more money than I wanted to spend, but its not easy finding a good used recurve.

I had one as my first recurve. I really liked the bow, but being new to 'curves bought a 60 pounder which was way too heavy. I used it for bowfishing for a couple of years with a 3/4 draw. Sold it to get something lighter. I really wish I still had the bow. Sorry I can't be more help, but from what I remember people would talk about them stacking pretty bad around 29" (wouldn't know, I couldn't draw mine more than 24...lol).

I own one. Best recurve I ever shot. It is smoother shooting than my friend's Paul Schaffer Silvertip bow. It is faster than his old Black Widow and it stacks way, way less than his old Bear takedown.I don't know where the "stacking" rumor is coming from. I don't think it stacks much at all. Mine is marked 55#@28, but I draw it to 31" and it pulls 63# at that length. It is fast and smooth. How much are they asking for it? I paid $300.00 for mine 13 years ago. I don't think that you will be sorry if you buy it.

Probably a good deal on a good bow Coug. Martin has made some of the best over the counter bows on the market for several years now.

VH, the stacking isn't a rumor with Martin bows. I can't say that every single one of them stacks, but I can say that every one that I have owned or shot did, and I've owned several. I draw around 32" on a recurve, and for several years I thought that stacking was just what a bow did--lol. Every Martin I have owned or shot stacked past 29", some before that. That would include the Hunter, Hatfield take-down, Mamba, Dream Catcher, Vision, and X-200. Some worse than others, but they all stacked. That's only a problem if you have a long draw though, and Martin bows weren't the only ones that stacked on me either. I don't recall ever shooting an over the counter recurve that didn't stack on me.
