decided on a new recurve
A while back I inquired about shooting short bows including recurves and longbow. Got alot of good advice. Later on requested info about different woods. Finally decided to give a recurve a try. I don't know if I'll ever give up shooting the longbow, but wanted to try something shorter. I'm fortunate that at this time I'm able to order a custom made bow from a local bowyer Hal Caplinger. He really does make a beatiful bow and he prides himself on building bows without hand-shock. Anyway I decided on a 55 inch, recurve, 70# at 28inches, riser made from cocabola with rock maple and brown glass limbs. Thanks for all the input. I'm just hoping I'll enjoy shooting it as much as my longbow.
