Default RE: Hay, I don't see no spot!!

Mike - I burned my target this weekend. I just got VERY frustrated shooting at a dot, shooting single groups or multiple arrows.

Did that yesterday. Shot my "target" and my arrows were everywhere. Burned target. Went stump shooting and did pretty good. Why the differnce ? I dunno, but a difference there was. I killed a Gatorade jug at 12-15 steps and an egg carton at 22 steps. I barely missed a couple of beer cans. Good evening, and my wife loves not looking at all the different targets scattered across my yard. I have 1 Delta deer and thats it now. I think I'll shoot much better because of it too.

Only problem with that method I see, Shrew, is that you'll see the same spot in the middle of his rack if that's where you look. Of course, I haven't tried it so I can't speak intelligently. (Never could anyway.) Guess if you concentrate on the center of the chest the spot shows up. Just concentrate on the spot then, huh?

I'm not touting anyone's book, but you should read Fergusons' "Become the Arrow" It offers some insight on this.

You mean you have to take your eyes the deer?

That is an interesting way of 'picking a spot'. What advise do you have of a heart pounding in your throat, causing to body to shake like your naked in a blizzard? thump, thump, thump, thump, thump....

Shrew, I know what you mean.

It seems like the things that gives you the most pleasure are the things that get you 'excited'!
