Default 2 blade broadheads

The compound is in the closet and im bringing out the recurve. Went to cabelas and got a new string flemish fast flite, brush bottons, back quiver, and limb protectors. I was looking at broadheads and i know im going to go with a 2 blade 125gr or more. I was looking at magnus 140gr 2blade, but wasnt sure what was a good head to get. What does everyone use?

Also for the string my bows AMO length is 60 and the person there told me that i should get a 60" string but its actually 56inchs long like it should be. But the string i have on came with the bow and it measures 57 to 58inchs, cant remember what its at. This is no high quality string that i have on do you think is just stretched and should i be alright using the new string i bought?

Magnus makes a good head.(lifetime gauanteed to if I remember right) The new string will stretch a bit after a little shooting so I bet it will be fine. Shoot it in and then adjust your brace height.

I personally like the Zwickeys, and would not think of switching, but magnus might be a good head too. My father shot three deer with one zwickey head, and it is still good to go. Also be careful with the string, the fast flight string might blow up your bow.
Good luck

forkhorn has a good point. If it is an older bow make sure it is biult to handle a fast flite string.

This is a 2004 fred bear super kodiak amo length is 60" and the brace height should be between 8 to 9inches. Should the string still be alright?

I'm not sure, it should say in the owners manuel, or you could ask someone at a retail store that might know about it. If you still can't find an answer, I would just go with the string that is recommended, i think it is a dacron string

I found a piece of paper that came with the bow and it says

AMO length 60, string length 60"AMO, string material fast flight, brace height 8 to 9.

Also on the string i have on i have it twised alot and it just barely has a 8inch brace height.
