Default new bow string?

Hey


My bow string on my longbow, is starting to fray, right where i knock the arrow. is this normal, and when the nock gets to loose you need a new string, whats the deal boys?

Other than that the string is fine,

Sounds like you just need a new center serving. Easy to do yourself, or most any shop should reserve it for you cheap.
