Default Back quivers (bottoms)

I made a back quiver out of leather and was wondering what to use to keep the broad heads from poking through. I thought of foam but think that that would not be sturdy enough. Maybe raw hide on the bottom??

thanks Eric

You're also going to have trouble with them rattling around together and getting dull. I'd suggest making little leather covers for each broadhead. Make them loose enough and they'll slip right off when you draw the arrow from the quiver.

my first backquiver has foam in it. Dang thing is still holding up! I agree though I would either opt for the hoods or make a hood with foam in it. I think three rivers sold something like this and it seems like a good idea. The hood is on the bottom of the backquiver with a rod attached. Chop the rod just short of the top of the quiver to pull the arrows out or insert the heads to keep them from rubbing and dulling. I just wish we didnt have to carry a dang pack every stinkn place we went as I would love to use a backquiver to hunt with!
