Default old bow and new string? need help!!

I recently acquired a 52" Wing Thunderbird from a friend. I believe the bow was made in the late 60's or early 70's and is in desparate need of a new string. I'd like to make a string for the bow, but all I have is Dyna '97. I've read that older bows might not fare well with the newer style (low-stretch) bowstrings. Is there any way to tell if the bow can handle an endless loop string made from Dyna '97?

thanks for your help! Kris

Default RE: old bow and new string? need help!!

I'm pretty sure the Wing isn't made for anything but dacron. Bob Lee still won't warranty his bows for anything but dacron strings.
