Default Another "beginers"question...?

I started shooting my old pearson recurve,(haven't shot trad equipment in about 15 yrs). I seem to be getting alot of fletching contact.(I shoot cockfeather-out)???is this right? Also... are the fletches supposed to be 120 degrees apart for 3 fletch? Just wondering...

Default RE: Another "beginers"question...?

Yes. 3 fletch is done 120 degrees apart. 4 fletch may be 90 degrees or someother variation, such as 60-120-60-120. Excess fletching contact could indicate a poor nocking point or improper spine on you arrows. However, it is normal to have fletching wear on even properly spined arrows given enough shooting.
