Default bow stringers

Just purchased my first recurve and I was wondering what is the best bow stringer to purchase? I bought a leather stringer from Lost nations will it be okay? probably should have asked for advice first HUH?

Default RE: bow stringers

HP,

The Selway is the safest and best stringer made.
I have two of them plus a copy Dale Dye sent with my recurve.
Here is a pic I borrowed from Gene (Bulldog) on another forum.
If the one you bought looks something like this, you're in business.

Sag.
