Default Any flint knappers out there?

Just wondering if any of you guys do any knapping?
A buddy of mine got me into it a little last year!
If we get time this summer were going to make a couple of bows and our own arrows!
A great way to spend time around a camp fire!!

Nope, not me, I kinda depend on the various sporting goods manufacturers for my equipment. Although I must say that it sounds like a very enjoyable way for any traditional archer to spend some time with his/her hobbie. I would love to make my own bow one year but that won't happen any time soon unfortunately.

Here in MN, its not legal to hunt with any arrow heads that aren't metal, but it would sure be and accomplishment to shoot and kill a deer with a bow you made out of a peice of ash!!

I don't knap. I like the looks of the points and I know they are deadly but for me to make them just ain't where its at. I do make my own trade points though and arrows from shoots. Even have a couple of bows kicking around that I made.

sent all my obsidian, copper, and some antlers to a GI over in Korea. Forearm couldnt take the pressure flaking.....then again neither could the palm of my hand either. Got tired of digging out chips of glass which went through the leather and then through a leather glove.

I have a couple of knapping video's I'd be willing to swap with ya though.
