Default Grizzley Stiks

Do any of you guys shoot Carbon Grizzley stiks from Alaska Bowhunting Supply. I just order a new recurve from Sauktrail Archery 60" 55lb@28" They say they are the heaviest carbon arrow you can buy, and they are taperd for better penatration. Do you think these arrows would be a good match for this Bow. Just starting out with the recurves.

They are very heavy, and should work fine, but unless you plan on hunting some really big critters they aren't a "must". I like to stay at around 8-10 grains per lb on regular game animals--with that arrow weight , proper shot placement and proper tuning, your bow should be plenty for most any game in North America. Might consider a bit more for something like Grizzley or Moose, but it should work fine on most anything else.

worry more about arrow flight at this point!!! They are definatly not worth the cost! JMHO.

I take it you are from Kansas? I wont knock heavy shafts, however there is a point where its not worth the weight to shoot/hunt with them.

Be more concerned with accuracy and arrow flight. Find a moderate weighted shaft and you'll do fine with good arrow flight and a good broadhead!!!

I admit, I don't know squat about grizz or brown bears, other than I would want the heaviest bow I can pull if I decided to go after one! Might consider the 85@30.........

Hope Jerry or Robert does a better job with your bow than he did with mine. Dick
