Default Old recurves/tweeked?

We have picked up,over the years, some recurve bows. When they are strung one or the other limb is twisted to the side! The string comes off? I guess it was folks storing them upright on end? Can these be fixed or untweeked?

Depends. Some you can just twist back by hand and they will stay. Others may need heat--I wouldn't go any hotter than hot water from a faucet. And some may be permanent. I haven't seen many that couldn't be fixed.

My grandsons bow was twisted pretty bad; he'd left it strung up behind his dresser for about two years. I wrapped the riser with cloth and put in on a vise, I twisted the limb back past to opposite position with a rope and camped it down over night and left it in my garage in this Texas heat. The next morning it was right were it should be.

He drilled three rabbits with it last week end; one was 25 yards away.

I'm sure it would if you didn't get it too hot, keep it moving and don't use on high heat.

I think that's why my method worked leaving it over night in my garage in this Texas heat.

Try it without heat first--if the limb isn't damaged, it will usually go back.
