Default Ben Pearson

This is a great article on one of the greatest archers ever, and the man who helped get the sport where it is today.

Thanks for sharing bro; great story. I learned something today.
I wonder how many of us started with a Ben Pearson bow, I know I did somewhere around 1963. I still remember my first bow kill was a rabbit running I felt like Howard Hill. I'll never forget that.

I've got my 11 year old grandson out here at our lake house and have some 3D targets set up for him, I started him shooting when he was three. He's shooting a recurve I made for him a few years ago, he's just now able to shoot it comfortably 62" 30# @ 28.

I'm glad to be back at trad I feel like I wasted the last fifteen years shooting compound competition, just sold my last competition bow last week. Bowtech was sure good to me however, they are top notch organization. Feels good to be home again.

I still love to watch my "Legendary Hunts of Ben Pearson" video. He was just an amazing guy, but doesn't get the recognition most of the other icons get. My guess is because he was a more reserved kind of guy, not "out there" like Hill and Bear.

DVD's are still for sale from Ben Jr.

That's exactly right; both Hill and Bear had a bit of the big head.

Ben Jr. is also reserved and quiet like his pops was.
