Default advice

gonna give traditional a try. got a buddy who is going to make me a long bow. specs. 60in 50-60lbs. advice on arrows and broadheads for deer hunting?

If this is your first time shooting a trad bow, 50-60 pounds is way heavy for a beginner. No let off like there is with compound bows.

If your just starting, definately go with 50lbs or less. Even if you have 10 years experience, its a good wieght.

I have came full circle. I went from 40lbs to 50lbs, to 53lbs to 58lbs, then to 64lbs, and back down to 53lbs. I have yet to not get a pass thru with a boiler room shot.

I like 2016's or 2018's depending on your draw. I like magnus 2 blade, but this year had something strange happen. I had zero blood on a heart shot, but I think it was a fluke. Thinking of switching to 3 blades magnus. Or at least some bleeders.

I agree with what has been said, 50 to 60 is rather high to learn with. 45 would be much better to learn with. But to answer your question, you really need to get the bow first and find the weight at your draw then find an arrow in that range, then tune it to the bow.
