It was made with "Gentleman Jerry" Pierce's materials, and on his press--it even has "Pierce Points"--but it was made by his son-in-law, a year or so after Jerry's passing. Still, it's a dang good shooter. Jerry's son Lenny gave it to me a few years ago, and made me promise I'd take it hunting.
I've never been much of a recurve shooter, but I agreed. Since then, it's been shown off in my shop, but shot very little.....until lately. For some reason, I took it off it's pegs the other day, and shot it. Dang...this little bow is a shooter! It's only 58" long, and
35@28 ....but I'm getting around 43@31.5" (as long as the carbons will let me draw--I have to short-draw it a good 1/2"), and it's as smooth as butter.
Finger pinch is a bit of a problem, but as long as I pay attention to what I'm doing I can stack arrows with it at 20 yds. I hope to keep my promise this year, and take a deer--and maybe a few squirrels (Jerry's favorite target) with it. It's a very cool little bow.
