Default Banana Cut Feathers

Where can I purchase them? Or will I have to get my own feather chopper and make my own? It seems that no one carries them. I see alot of the Pope & Young, Parabolic, Shield, and Raptor cut but no Banana cut feathers for sale.
Thanks. I have a half dozen carbonwoods I want to re fletch. The carbonwoods I purchase and the Gold Tips usually come with the 3, 4 inch feathers. I need to go to the larger 5 inch feathers.

Check out the True Flight feather site. I think they carry some. If they' re that hard to find you' d be better off with a chopper anyways. I think they go for around $20, and if you do it right you can get two feather out of a full length instead of one. You sure won' t have a hard time finding full length feathers either. Just a suggestion though.

I should have inquired by email. I just looked at various websites. I' m sure they some of the vendors carry them but don' t show them on their sites. You' re right, I' d probably be better off buying a chopper. Thanks for the reply Irishlad.

the other thing would be to get your hands on a burner. Its a bit loud in the stink department but it gives you the opportunity to do ANY style of fletching you want.

Been racking my brain trying to think of who has them, but off-hand I can' t think of anyone. Joe at Lone Wolf might have them, but I' m not sure. A chopper or burner might be your best bet--one good thing about bananna cuts, one chopper will do both left and right--just make sure you turn the feather the right way when you cut and fletch--easy to get those backwards. Burners stink to high heaven (smells like burning hair), but if you have an outdoor outlet or shop it' s no biggie--otherwise you might find yourself having to sleep outside!

Hmmmm, LBR thanks for bringing up the part about the smell using a feather burner. I don' t think my wife would understand that part of my addiction. Looks like I' ll probably go with the chopper and save my safe a little grief from my better half. lol.

CT Bowhunter, I' ll try G&M. Thanks.

Go to " Arrows by Kelly" . He has a special sale going on this month and Banana cuts are included: $22/100 if memory serves me right.
