Default how to brace and unbrace a longbow

ok, with a little help of one of my friends I got the string on my longbow, but I want to change the brace height to 6" ( 6" 1/2 now ).
How do I get the string over the end of the bow ??? I don't have the muscle.
Is their an easy way to do this ?

F.

Use a stringer, step thru method, or push pull method. But I suggest purchasing a stringer for safety.

BC,

a stringer it will be , push and pull doesn't work on my own, I'm still a few inches short and inbetween the legs hurts, this is a fine longbow, no flat surfaces of curves to hold the bow between the legs.

thx anyway.

Frank

YOu can make your own stringer. If you got some real flexible leather and a some parachute cord.
