Default New Riser for the Pass a Round Bow

I have just finished sanding in the first coat of Antique Oil finish for the "Yarra" pass aropund bow.

I will hopefully be able to get it finished this week end.

It's not as fancy as far as woods go as the original riser as you can see it is Black Walnut.

But it is my new design so hopefully that will make up for only being 1 wood

Looks good Russ! I cannot wait! If it gets here tomorrow, it's going to Nebraska for an attempt at a thunder chicken! Tom beware!

Looks pretty good Russ, I like the Black Walnut! The grip looks to have a nice swell to it!

Well I finally got the riser finished over the week end

Made a few slight changes from the above pics.

As soon as I get the bow back I will retro fit the new riser and send it back on it's journey or call Greg and tell him to come pick her up

Here is the riser.

I added a little writting to the riser just to make it a little more personal.

That looks good, should look nice with the limbs on.

Personally I like the single wood riser, rather than laminations, makes it look cleaner somehow.

Looks real nice. Only thing that jumps out at me, is the shelf is so much higher than the hand. Was that on purpose?
