Default Drawing trad bows in 0-20 degree weather

Just curious. How do you guys pull in cold weather? Whether I'm shooting my Osage stick bow or even a recurve...my bones creek and the amount of clothing is even tougher in cold weather.

What do you late season bow guys do to help pulling in cold weather?

Pulling back my recurve In close to zero temps at sharper then normal angles In a tree really sucks!! That's what makes It tougher for me. Not much a person can do though Brian. I try to layer my clothes as loosely as I can. Next year I'll have a new set up with cold weather clothing. I'm going to buy some Under Armour type stuff to help keep my body heat In so I'm then hoping less clothing will be needed.

Steve...I'm going to try UA too...I never have...if you haven't....buy the base layer Cabelas Down Filled Under wear....its awesome...I think UA + this and a light jacket could be the key...

seriously...I use this...its really light..and effective..realitively quiet...and HOT.

Besides what was mentioned, what I suggest trying is to get a clicker on your bow and practice drawing in the cold with all hunting clothes on. You'd be surprized on how easy it is to under draw the bow. With a little practice though, you'll know what it'll takes.

During the winter I am partly laid off so I always shoot more and used to budling up so I guess you could say I practice in what I hunt in and then get used to it.
