Default I have no bows for the rest of the season.

Actually, I"ve gota recurve left. I had a man offered more money than I could refuse on my personal bows. I was at the Harley house, whena man I ride with, who has bought some of my bows before, offered to buy all the bows Ive got left. I told himI had nothing but my personal bows, described them, and he said, "Those will do". I first crawfished and said I was not interested in selling them, but he wanted them and made the offer to hard to refuse. I went ahead and sold them all. I kind of feel like a parent in an empty nest. I"ll start with me a new bow eventually, for now, ill finish the season with my old, trusty Herters recurve. I have to say, I"ve kind of got sellers remorse. I"m sure it will be short lived. Just gets me more inspired to go make more.

Wow Burnie!! That's not something a guy hears everyday! You better get working on a new bow for yourself. I bet the chunk of cash was good though.

This is fairly interesting story. So was thier reason he bought them all? He just desired them all? Was he new to trad shooting?

Thats a wild story. He must have some cash.

I have a bow or two I could loan ya.

Yep, he has more money than sense. He bought them for his kids. He liked the ones I had made him, and wanted to get his older sons some longbows. All my bows were built within the last two years, so all were rather new.

How much did you sell that IPE/bamboo backed? Just curious how much that would go for. Thats my favorite one. Was you able to kill with it?

Ive shot several hogs with the last ipe boo combo I made. I normally sell a ipe boo combo from 200-500 depending on what all is done to it. He paid450 for the one ipe boo I had. He bought an Osage boo R-D, cherry maple reflex, a yew lam recurve, and a ipe cocobola bamboo R-D.

I like that IPE bow. I have a bunch of staves to work. And then I thought I would try my luck at the backed bow you did.

I appreciate it. Ive still got my old trusty bow ive had since the early 80s. Im still trying to get my schedule worked out, once I do, you and Bob will need to come down and shoot something with that takedown. Nov. is starting to free up, I know Bob is busy the 7th, so some time after that.
