Also my recurve seems to be loud, is there any way to quiet it down besides vibration dampners and what not?

I use tarantulas on my string on my recurve. They work real good and they last forever.

Sure you can use leeches. Also, consider bowhush for your string where it contacts your recurve's limb tips. I have some, haven't installed it yet, but got a bunch of positive feedback when asking about it.

ok. Would mole skin work where the riser contacts the string?

Where the string touches below the Limb tips mole skin would work just fine.

Im concerned that you might have too shallow of a brace. That is, if you string is touching your riser. If this is the case, you might solve a lot of your problems by increasing your brace height.

Burnie, but think how fast the bow must be! Might be some wrist slap though

Bowman, just having fun... The riser is the part of the bow where you grip it. Where you're describing your string is contacting the bow is at the limbs and sounds perfectly normal.

However, brace height can be a big contributor to bow noise. What bow do yo have? Do you know the manufacturers recommended brace?
