You can make 2-winged footed shafts quite easily with minimal tools. http://users.rcn.com/gtsouk/footed.html This site recommends planing the shafts round but I found it' s way easier to bum a friends shaft shooter.

I really like the style that JRW shows on his site but apperantly I' m too stoopid to figure out how to do it from his instructions. (I need pictures man! Lots of pictures! And more idiot proof instructions! ) I' m currently putting together some rosewood and douglas fir shafts- self nocks of course.

Tuffcity,

Get the back issue of TBM I mentioned on the page. The instructions on how to make them is in there (in great detail). What I put on the web site was how to make a jig that won' t cost you ninety-some dollars, when you can do it yourself for a few bucks.

JRW,

The kicker is that I have that issue of TBM, but do you think I can find it?!! Although it may have vanished during a spousal " purge" of percieved crap taking up too much room in the closet. No voluntary admissions of guilt were forthcoming though.

I may have to interogate the children....

that tool is made by a a guy in anchorage ak. Or atleast was thought of by him so they say. They were charging 70 for it as of last year, not sure what they are now....saw 3 creeks at 89.95. If you want it let me know I' ll make a call and see if they are still selling it for the 70 bucks.
