Default trouble shooting

New here, hope I'm on the right thread.

I am new to trad shooting and am having trouble with consistency in elevation. Windage is ok. Does anyone have a suggestion, aside from maintaining a good form, on how to get the elevation right?

For a beginner, I'd really recommend trying to Gap shoot.

Stella had to find her groove, guess I've got to find my gap. It has been easier said than done.

Great sig line!

I agree with Bob, gap shoot all the way...... I started out by using a very methodical, dedicated gap...... By doing that it eliminates the windage concerns and lets you concentrate on getting your form burned into memory...... I still use a less dedicated gap now, which is more akin to what Howard Hill called split vision..... Its a cross between gap and instinctive..... Works for me.

I had the same problem, turned out to be my nocking point on the string, I wasn't nocking on the same spot consistantly. I installed a brass button and it resolved a lot of the problem. I've also found that my attention wandered occasionally, causing me to miss my intended spot since I shoot instinctively. I solved that one by hanging a Daisy Shatter Blast disc on the center of the target's core, busting them is fun and really makes you focus since it's a 2" target.
