Default Cutting laminations

Okay, so the latest thing running trough my mind is a a laminated straight longbow. Seems like it would be fairly simple and straightforward. I have access to lots of woodworking tools, and cutiing laminations should not be a problem at all. Main question is how and what.

Of the woods that I have heard folks talk of for building bows, the two I have around here are Black Locust and Osage. I can find pretty straight trees, cut them down, and get them into pieces I can work with on bandsaw/tablesaw.

What I need to know is how they should be cut, ie flat sawn, rift sawn, whatever. Are the two woods the same, meaning should they be cut the same way or different. I am thinking different, but I want someone who kows their stuff to set me straight here. Will these two woods work together well?
