Default I'm giving Carbons One Last Chance. Update 8/20/08

Well, I'm going to give the carbons one last shot. Just ordered a dozen camo blems from Sipsey River. Last carbons I used were the Grizzly Sticks which were just too darn expensive to shoot. I ended up selling them (2 used) for like $80 for 6. I'm getting the blems for $40 for a dozen. They are Gold Tip's. We'll see what happens.

Funny you post this, i had a bunch of old carbons sitting around and fletched them up yesterday just to see how they shot out of my kodiak mag, they flew awesome. Im still a fan on good old wood though, it just puts me in the mood! Haha

I bought two dozen sipsey blems 5575's. One set was really blems. I am still wondering if they are really gold tips. The other set, was just cut too short from factory, and labled blems. Those are the real deal.

I have set of 7595 I am getting ready to sell if you need any.

I'm trying to go with a little heavier head. I've had problems in the past raising the FOC on Aluminums past a certain point. Others I know including Dr. Ashby have seemed to have the same problem.

Do you mean carbon? They just never seemed to tune as easy as aluminums I guess. Some were also too expensive for my tastes and I found myself only shooting at targets that I had 100% confidence in hitting (no 50-70 yarders).

Big, I got the 5575 snow camo gold tips. Hopefully they are what they advertised as. [&:]

I always hated carbons due to the fact they were so difficult to tune and get 10gr/lb pull. That was until Matt/PA turned me on to the gold tip weight adaptors. Now, I shoot a 600gr arrow and perfect flight along with 17% FOC. Dadgone you matt, why did you do this to me.

That's right about where I'd like to be.
