The UPS man delivered all the timber for my first home made long bow.

I decided on a BBubinga riser, Sassafras limbs with Action Bamboo core.

Hopefully it will turn out a shooter.

Last week end I made the form which was no easy task had a couple of trial and errors with it[8D]

This week end I plan on building the heat box.


Just one quick question the plans call for heat resistant masking tape which I have tried to get at the local hardware stores and I know the people who work there dont have a rocket science degree, but to just look at me with a blank look on thier face and say HUH.

What tape would some of you bowyers advise me to use I was thinking about the blue painters tape.

Here is a pic. of the parts for the bow.

All the build alongs in Tradgang, I see em use blue masking tape.

I got the form made today and the heat box is almost done just have to cut the lid section and put the gear inside it tomorrow

Might even do a build along here if anyone is interested
