Default Screw-in broadheads on wood arrows?

I have a quite a few 11/32" PO cedar arrows and some screw-in broadheads I would like to use on the arrows. Has anyone come up with a way to mount them? I was thinking maybe to try a 38 empty cartidge or 357 cartridge cut off and glued on the arrow with an aluminum insert glued inside to take the screw-in broadhead, but I am not sure how this would fit and whether it could be centered properly for alignment. I also considered a piece of a carbon or aluminum arrow shaft cut off.

If alignment were perfect, I am not sure how the strength of the combination would be????

Maybe someone has tried this and will share their thoughts or experience.

Wood screw in adapters, they take some work to get your arrows tuned, they make your arrow an inch longer and 50gr heavier!! I thought about using them but when I spoke with the guy from 3rivers he talked me out of them. He said he uses them only for video shoots so he can easily screw on rubber blunts!

You can use the adapters, or if you can find them (maybe at a local archery shop) you can get cut-off ends of aluminum arrows that your wood shafts will just fit inside, hot melt them in, and use regular aluminum inserts.

The adapters are kind of a pain--short taper, not easy to get aligned just right, add weight--but they will work if you want to take the time to get them on right, and adjust your arrow spine and/or point weight.
