Default Pics of my Osage Stick Bow (72#)

Here is my baby...anosage stick bow. Made by my uncle Paul Hennessy of Michigan. I have taken 4 deer with this beauty with cedar arrows...2 of my deer were with flint wrapped in sinew (deer tendons)

3 of 4 deer I took with this bow only went a max of 40 yards. The 4th deer was a bad hit that I found in the snow... A liver shot with flint...I found the deer after tracking for 100 yards....

I am a compound shooter but still carry my stick on occasion. I wish more of the hi-tech guys could get a feel forthe way the indians did it...But thats ok too...

Brian Welch from Michigan.

My 72# baby...and lord is she hard on the elbows and shoulders...even at 33 years old [8D]

My Baby with my bear...Sorry I did take the bear with a compound...But I love my stick!!!!

Nice--looks very similar to mine, but yours has a little more snake in the limbs. I'm only pulling around 66# with mine too.

One thing that will help......dump the artificial sinew string and put a Dynaflight '97 or 8125 (padded loop) string on it--that will get rid of a lot of the hand shock.
