Default 'Nother Deer Season Gone......

Today was our last day, and it has sleeted hard and is currently raining sideways. I had to get a flat fixed too.....needless to say, I didn't go today.

Had a good season though--can't complain. Working on a spring hog hunt and hope to go bowfishing for stingray again this summer. Meanwhile I reckon I'll just have to shoot tournaments, starting the 16th.

Man......it always goes by too quick! Re-start the annual countdown to October 1st!

Default RE: 'Nother Deer Season Gone......

Mine has been over since mid-December. First time in 13 years that I didn't get a deer. Not that I couldn't have though. I passed on more then one 110-120 class buck on a few occassions at 10 yards while I was in Wisconsin. I had a 160 class within about 35, but he was walking fast and I didn't feel comfortable. He was walking directly toward my fiend who was about 200 yards from me. Isignalled him on the walkie/talkie to let him know what was coming, but the buck ended walking just over a small ridge and past him at about 50 yards. My fiend heard him walking but didn't see him. - He had to pass on the same buck the day before at 8 yards since he was behind some heavy brush. [:@]

Mine has been over since Dec. I tagged out at the first of Dec.[]. But our season ended Jan 6th, so its been over for a while. Good thing, we got hogs all year around.

I had a great year this year, by far my best for whitetails.
