What size G5 peep do you reccomend? 1/4 or 3/16?

Not on longbows, no. But on recurves, yes. Some people do shoot peeps 'n pins on recurves.

zophy, I think it depends mostly on your eyes. My eyes are older and they like the 1/4" size better. But if you have young eyes that work good, then 3/16" might be as big as you need.

The smaller the peep the less sighting error you have but the less light they allow through, resulting in less visibility.Reduced visibility is especially true in low light. The bigger the peep, the more light allowed through for better visibility, especially in low light, but the bigger size allows more sighting error.

I'd really recommend getting both and trying them out to find which is best for you.

i agree to getting both. they're cheap enough to where it won't break your wallet and it'll be money well spent
