string lenght ???

I have a shakespere necedah that was gave to me without a string. What length do I need? The bow is 58" long and is 45#. Thanks

LBR (Chad) the Moderator should be able to help. He makes strings. Is that a recurve or longbow? I know they said that typically a string 2 to 3 inches shorter than the length is a good starting point.

It is a recurve. A guy I talked to suggested a 54" but I wanted to get a second oppinion.

A 54" will probably work. I would be sure to go with Dacron.
