Default Measuring draw length

Do trad bows follow AMO of valley of nock to pivot point + 1.75" to measure draw length?

If not, is there any standardization?

Most do, but it can vary. I've seen one that went by "true draw" (valley of nock to pivot point), but I think the bowyer later changed it because the numbers were misleading.

Thanks. I wish they'd just use valley to pivot, as it would be the most repeatable and I think most accurate and applicable.

Plus then Arthur could have a sub 30" draw

Yeah, but it wouldn't make my arrows any shorter. [8D]

a bow scale is a very big help with this problem,,,along with drawlength you need to know your draw weight a weight you can handle with accuracy and consistency...they go hand and hand,, when you talk traditional..........you can pull back a 60# bow,,and not a broad side of a barn,,,,jpw
