Man thats got to hurt! I've only shot my recurve at animals twice, feral hogs both times. results? 2 misses and they both made me want to pull my hair out!
It's those "gimme" shots that usually bite me in the rear at tournaments--shots a blind man could make in a cave at midnight. It's like you would have to work real hard to miss, but it happens.
On the bright side, at least you saw a 10 point!

I feel your pain!!!!!!!! At the start of my season after I took my first longbow doe, well first archery deer ever, I seen this huge buck I guessed him at 160"+ and I decided to hunt him only. Well I hunted hime hard and when I finally got my chance I missed him at maybe 10yards or so. Just over his back, I cried and never seen him again. It will probably happen again.

Ouch!!!!!! Thats a biggy!
Your telling me, the first time I seen him I almost crapped my undies. I have only seen a buck this big in real life(not on TV) one other timeand my buddy took him 10 years aago with a .308. I see 130"-150" class bucks here all the time(man I love living inSaskatchewan, Canada), but 160"+ is an amazing site and to have him a 10yards and miss was a heartbreaker and yet one of the reasons I keep going back out there.
