Default New bow is here, now the work begins.

I recieved my new (used) bow today and now I am in the process of sanding the old varnish/finish off. I would post the pictures but I do not have a web page in which to do so. What would you (the peanut gallery<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>) reccommend for a finish? I have heard of a spar lacquer but admittedly I do not know of where to find such product. I will be using the bow to hunt and if you know anything about Michigan weather it is from one extreme to the other.
Thanks for the help.
Vern

May a the Lord keep you
all safe.

Tell me how it goes. I might pick up a used bow tonight that needs some refinish work. If I do we'll proabably be talking. Good luck. Probably pick it up at Home Depot or Lowes.
