Default Rayzer Feathers

What do you guys think of the new rayzer feathers. They look cool, kinda like the blazers are for vanes, these are for feathers. Do you use them? How well do they work? Are they worth the money?

So I'm guessing they are not very popular then?

I haven't tried them. I'm not sure I'd want to shoot broadheads with them out of a traditional bow, but would probably be okay for field points. Just a theory of mine that the only reason Blazers work with broadheads is the small diameter of carbons (less rotational inertia to overcome) combined with high speeds (air resistance increases by the square of the speed increase). I'd be willing to bet they work just as well on a compound arrow as Blazers do, but I doubt traditional bows can generate enough arrow speed. Don't have an ounce of proof for my train of thought there, but once in awhile I get lucky and guess right. [8D]

I have never shot trad. equipment, that being said I am just replying because I am currently using rayzr broadhead feathers on my compound. I'm not sure if this will help anyone using trad gear but I thought I would post my experiences with them. I love the rayzr's, I shot blazers last year and I feel like the rayzr feathers do even a better job stabalizing broadheads. Not only that, they look pretty cool. I am very pleased with them out of my compound, however, like I mentioned I wouldn't have a clue how they work with trad gear. Here are a few pics of my arrows with the rayzr broadhead feathers.

If I was to use small diameter carbons out of a trad bow with a 125 grain point, would they do okay then? I was thinking that if they worked well they would also bump up you FOC a little bit aswell. But, the first priority would be good arrow flight and broadhead stability. What do you think?

My guess (and I stress that it's ONLY a guess) is that a recurve won't generate enough arrow speed for them to adequately stabilize broadheads, even with small diameter arrows. As always, the only way to know for sure is to try them, and make sure to try them in as many different wind conditions as you can. They might work fine on a calm day but go to pot in a stiff breeze.
