If it's a Kodiak takedown, it means you've got a 'B' riser. The Kodiak TD's came with A,B or C risers, A was the shortest, intended for hunting; B was medium, what they called the all-purpose riser for hunting or target; C was the longest and was intended for target shooting. The B riser isn't as popular or valuable as an A riser.

Now THAT is some good info right there!

I don't have a clue what that means then. What model is the bow? Is the stamp a rubber stamp or impressed into the wood? Does it look like it was done at the factory (under the finish) or could it have been done by a previous owner?
Hi, & thanks Mr Art. It's impressed , it's a super kodiak it says with fascor, it was used 25 years ago by arich lady for a hunt. I've had it since Feb & never unstrung it, but I use it lots.
I thought it was some kind of special order or something like that. The serial # is fancy white lettering , & has a blue laminate strip through it.
I wrote strange 45 lbs on my first post & found out it wasn't so strange after all------- I was the strange one asking a dumb question Ha Ha !!!
thanks again
Oh , does anyone have info on serial # ???
No info on the serial #, but I browsed through my Bear catalog cd. The only Super Kodiak I could find that had the blue stripe was made in '75. Hope that helps. Nice bow!
Hey, that's good enough for me, THANKS.
The guy I got it from saw or first saw his rich sister-in-law with it in 85, so it might be older than I think.
By the way I just got to tell somebody; my step father-in-law gave me a hand made 67 inch longbow today with a "red baron" emblem on it but no name. . Stopped to ask if he would come sight in my gun with me seeing it's deer season tomorrow, got talking about bows,What a surprise , I'm hoping one of my kids will pick it up!
I got permission on private land for archery this year & it's my first year - so I might just leave the gun at home ---- wouldn't that be something !
