Default Help Please

I need your advice. I found out that for christmas i am going to be getting a recurve and all the gear that i will need. my main question is should i shoot wooden arrows or carbon. and what types of broadheads should i get. and also what poundage bow should i get. i am not going to hunt with it until i feel i am good enough shot to cleanly harvest a deer, but i have been shooting a buddies ben pearson and i believe it is 55# and i am getting one of my own because recurves are awesome. i just want some input on the poundage. i will be stalking with it but mostly shooting out of a tree. nothing over 25 yards. the deer one my property have to be close to shoot at because of all the thick under brush. so what do you think would be the best choice. please give me any and all advice as i am a beginner in recurves, but not hunting in general. i usually hunt with a compound but want to get a deer with traditional equipment. that would be awesome. so please help.

thanks in advance,

William

Default RE: Help Please

50#'s is a great bow weight. Arrows, what ever you prefer. I love Chundoo shafts. Their strong, straight and have a good grain weight, I shoot 55@27 with 615 grain arrows. If you go wood, then Ace standards are awesome broadheads.
