RE: What if I use overspined arrows?
You may be able to hit the spot--I won the Howard Hill last year (selfbow class) with arrows that were 30# overspined (hadn't had the bow long, and didn't have any arrows spined for it). Dang things looked like they might swap ends (and stick in the target nock-first) they fish-tailed so badly, but I could hit fairly decent with them. I had no idea I'd even place, I just wanted to shoot a second class.
I'd never hunt with them though--poor arrow flight robs you of penetration, and if it's any kind of tight shot it's a lot more likely to get deflected. Depending on how off they are in spine, you may not be able to hit squat with them--your accuracy will definately be better with the right spine arrow.
By "right spine", I mean an arrow that flies straight--that won't always be a particular spine for a particular draw weight.
