Default What if I use overspined arrows?

What will happen if I use overspined arrows?
I would like to use one arrow for different self bows, and I know that many trad shooters use an overspined arrow.
Will an overspined arrow shoot well in a longbow?

You may be able to hit the spot--I won the Howard Hill last year (selfbow class) with arrows that were 30# overspined (hadn't had the bow long, and didn't have any arrows spined for it). Dang things looked like they might swap ends (and stick in the target nock-first) they fish-tailed so badly, but I could hit fairly decent with them. I had no idea I'd even place, I just wanted to shoot a second class.

I'd never hunt with them though--poor arrow flight robs you of penetration, and if it's any kind of tight shot it's a lot more likely to get deflected. Depending on how off they are in spine, you may not be able to hit squat with them--your accuracy will definately be better with the right spine arrow.

By "right spine", I mean an arrow that flies straight--that won't always be a particular spine for a particular draw weight.

I'm not sure why trad shooters you know would use over spined arrows? Shooting an over spined arrow will cause the arrow to drift left (for righties). As well as porpose while in flight. Using one arrow for different weight self bows will just hurt your performance.
