What "could" this mean?

When I shot my last three rounds at my 3D deer, Tuesday night......they appeared to all be leaning to the right (up/down was "good") on impact.

I'm shooting a longbow.

I "guess" my layered target might be "correcting" this as the arrow goes into it. I haven't noticed it until I shot at the 3D target.

Whatchathink?

Stiff arrow/too thick riser plate/weak release. Not drawing fully.

To correct, heavier tip, thinner plate, better release.

Seriously though, bareshaft tuning my bows was a great help! You will see exactly how the arrows are coming off the bow without the aid of the fletching correcting the flight. I have my bareshaft arrows flying like darts impacting right with my fletched ones, arrow flight with my fletched shafts is just perfect.

If your target is really shot up, then it will cause some arrows in that shot up arrea to do this. When your arrow inters the target it is going to take the path of least resistance. I you shoot right on the line from where it is shot up and not shot up, then it will lean to the shot up, stuff. Try using a new target, or if you don't have one then buy new vitals, for yours.

Have you checked the brace height from when you tuned?

If it's the same and you can't see any visible poor arrow flight from when you bareshaft tuned I'd inclined to say that it's just a quirk in your target material.

I forget what they recommend for that thing?I'm pretty sure I have mine set right at 8"? I have it written down at home but for some reason I'm thinking 8"

Anyway I know I messed around with different brace heights and that was the one that really quieted the bow down to a whisper. All the wood bows I have messed with seem to have a "Sweet Spot" for brace height where they smooth out and get their quietest.

Fine...then how do I UNSTRING it?

Guy at the shop doesn't step trough or nothin.....just puts it against his foot and slides the string up. How do I unstring it and do it over at 8"?

I know this sounds stupid...but I am a TOTAL newbie.
